Referrals

Bridge4Life operates a structured referral process to ensure that every child placed within our provision receives the right level of support tailored to their individual needs. Referrals are accepted exclusively through schools, allowing us to work collaboratively and maintain consistency in each child’s educational journey.

Who Can Refer - 

Referrals must be made by:

• Mainstream schools 
• SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) 

We do not accept direct referrals from parents or carers; however, we encourage parents to speak with their child’s school if they feel our provision may be beneficial.

Eligibility Criteria - 

To be considered for a placement, children should:

• Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) 
• Be currently on roll at a mainstream school 
• Require additional support with independence, social communication, or emotional regulation 
• Be able to engage in a small-group setting 

Placements are currently suited for children aged 7–11 (this can be adjusted where appropriate).

Referral Process -

Our referral process is designed to be clear, supportive, and efficient:

1. Referral Submission - A referral is submitted by the school.
2. Review of Needs - We review the child’s EHCP and supporting information to understand their needs. 
3. Placement Offer -  If appropriate, a placement is offered with clear intervention goals. 
4. Programme Delivery - The child attends one weekly session as part of a 6-12-week intervention programme. 
5. Review and Feedback - A final report is provided to the referring school, outlining progress and outcomes.
